Iva L. Seefeldt, 83

Delavan – Iva Louise Seefeldt (Allen) was born Feb. 18, 1939, in Delavan, the daughter of Daniel and Emma Allen. She was a proud mother of seven children and worked as a homemaker and former line worker at Stokely VanCamp.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends most, playing games, listening to her favorite man, Elvis Presley, and testing her luck at bingo and the casino. She also admired fishing; life was quite the catch for her.

Iva is survived by her children, Ruth (Harvey) Hayner, of Des Moines, Iowa, Matt Matheson (Bill Sinclair), of Blue Earth, Rose (Angel) Martinez, of St. James, Dan (Nancy) Matheson, of Denver, Colorado, Tim (Betty) Matheson, of Blue Earth and Becky Matheson, of Storm Lake, Iowa, as well as many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Emma (Fowler) Allen; husband, Melvin Seefeldt; sisters, Ruth Stalling, Arlene Yoho, Helen Masters and Donna Kramer; brothers, Kenny, Harold, James “Bud” Allen; and her son, John Matheson.

Iva passed away on Aug. 15, 2022, at the age of 83 at St. Luke’s Care Center in Blue Earth. A celebration of her life will be held on Aug. 27 at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago from 2-4 p.m., followed by interment at Rice Lake Cemetery-Delavan.
