Anna Mae Hutchins, 100

(Formerly of Blue Earth) – Anna Mae Hutchins, age 100, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at Good Samaritan Home in Windom. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, Rev. Tom Butler officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Burial took place at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.

Anna Mae was born on May 13, 1922, at 927 E. 7th Street in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Her parents were George and Marie (Dittert) Cook. Anna Mae attended school in Blue Earth and graduated in 1940. She went to Hamilton College in Mason City, Iowa. When WWII broke out, Anna Mae went to work at Bricelyn State Bank. She worked there for one year, and then went to work at Blue Earth First and Farmers National Bank. She was a private secretary to the president of the bank for eight years. Anna Mae was very active in church activities all her life. She also took care of her uncle, Bert, for 20 years.

Anna Mae married Lawrence Feldick on Aug. 14, 1948. Lawrence died in January of 1968. Anna Mae then went on to marry Harold Hutchins on May 30, 1969. She had known Harold since the pair were just three and four years old. Harold passed away on Nov. 20, 2020.

Anna Mae is survived by her two sons, Larry (Sandy) and George Feldick; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; niece, Wanda (Jim) Sawyer; brother-in-law, Duane (Beth) Feldick; and daughter-in-law, Mary Hutchins.

She is preceded in death by her husbands; four sisters; and Dennis Hutchins.

Anna Mae will be missed.
