Verla Mae Courrier, age 92, of Wells, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 at Heartland Senior Living Parkview Campus in Wells. A Funeral Service was held Sunday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m. with visitation from 1-3 p.m. at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells, Pastor Hillary Korynta officiated. Burial will be Monday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery (West of Walters). Nasinec Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Verla is survived by her husband of 70 years, Marvin J. Courrier, of Wells; children, Diane Kahl, of Kiester, Sharon Courrier, of Albert Lea, LeAnn (Ron) Volsen, of Wells, and Ronald Courrier, of Ashland, Kentucky; brother Robert Knapton, of Alta, Iowa; sisters: Kathy (Elmer) Ehlert, of Winnebago, and Ramona Olsen, of Greenville, South Carolina; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
