Eleanor Stewart, 94
Winnebago – Eleanor Stewart, aged 94, passed peacefully away on April 10, 2023 in Winnebago. Celebration of Life was Friday, April 14 at 11 a.m., visitation was one hour prior to services at the First Presbyterian Church of Winnebago.
Ellie was born Sept. 5, 1928 in Blue Earth to Joe and Hazel Olson. She was one of seven children and graduated Blue Earth High School at age 17. Ellie met the love of her life, Harry Stewart at a youth farm club dance and knew shortly after she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. They married soon after and started building their life together. Ellie displayed her multifaceted talents with crocheting, knitting, quilting, sewing, baking and volunteering at many of her church projects. Her strong faith in God led to help her in many different avenues throughout her life. Through her years she shared her many talents and knowledge with others. Harry and Ellie had a successful business of Stewart Apiaries which became known as “The Honey man and his Wife.”
Ellie is survived by her son, Michael (Bonnie) Stewart, of Fosston; grandchildren, Maggie, Theodore (Sarah), Andrew (Dee), Ryan (Sara); daughter, Sara (Chuck) Murry, of Winnebago; grandchildren, Kerri (Dirk), Brady (Victoria) and Elizabeth (Eric). Ellie was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, and sister Kay (Chuck) Holmseth.
Welcoming her to heaven is husband, Harry, their infant daughter, her parents, five siblings and one great-grandchild. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
