Darrell Joseph Weber, 84

Apr 21, 2023

Lakeville – Darrell Joseph Weber, born on Oct. 20, 1938, to Joseph and Elma (Johnson) Weber in Blue Earth, passed away on April 13, 2023, in Lakeville.

He left a legacy of love, and commitment to his family. He was a man of deep integrity with an unmatched work ethic.

Darrell was the best role model to his family as a loving husband, a rock-solid father, a warm, welcoming father-in-law, and a loving, joyful grandpa. As a grandfather he relished the joy of attending his grandchildren’s countless activities.

An entrepreneur at heart, Darrell ran Weber Amusement with his father and brother until 1984 and had a thriving real estate business partnering with his son, Dan forming Evolution Realty. He loved helping people find their homes.

Darrell was a devoted husband to his first wife Martha Allen Weber who passed away in 1977, and his wife Shirley (Utermarck) Weber, with whom he blended families and loved for 44 years. Darrell would often say “I went on two blind dates and married both of them.”

Darrell faced cancer with fortitude because of his deep love for his family and we are forever thankful for every moment we spent with our Darrell, our dad, our grandpa, our Ba.

Darrell will be missed by his wife Shirley; his seven children, Pat (Melissa) Weber, Jane Sheehan, Jeff Weber, Cynthia (Weber) Peterson, Jim (Sara) Utermarck, Daniel (Jennie) Weber, Jennifer (Mark) Overend; his grandchildren, Kyle Sheehan, Ally (Andy) Helmers, Sam (Megan) Weber, Ben (Erika) Barth, Caedran (Jay) Barth, Natalie Weber, Jackson Utermarck, George Weber, Kate Overend, Anna Utermarck, Leo Weber, Liv Overend; and great-grandchildren, Edith Barth and Addie Weber; as well as many grand-dogs who all loved him.

Darrell was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha; parents, Joe and Elma; son-in-law, Todd Peterson; brother, Dennis Weber; grandson, Nicholas Weber; and great-granddaughter, Nora Helmers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday April 23, from 1-4 p.m. at Crystal Lake Golf Club 16725 Innsbrook Dr., Lakeville, MN 55044.
