Duane R. Williams, 75

(Formerly of Blue Earth) – Duane R. Williams, age 75, of Pendleton, Oregon, formerly of Blue Earth, passed away May 3, 2023 in Boise, Idaho.

Duane was born June 22, 1947 in Hood River, Oregon to Kenneth Williams and Edna Evig. He graduated from Toppenish High School in Toppenish, Oregon in 1965 and shortly thereafter entered the United States Navy where he served two tours in Vietnam.

On March 26, 1975 he married Bonnie Lee in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Duane was a very hard working man and was very passionate about helping his tax clients as best he could, gaining many close friends through the years.

Duane enjoyed spending many weekends at the camper down at Cutty’s of Okoboji, Iowa, where he spent many hours volunteering where ever needed. He also enjoyed many road trips driving across the United States which earned him the nickname “Mario” from Bonnie as he often had a lead foot.

Duane is survived by his four children, whom he loved equally, which include daughters, Lori (Billy) Hanson and Lisa Passante; sons, James VanRyn and Jason (Heather Bauer) Williams; special daughters, Marianne Lehmen and Kelli (Joe) Chandler; brothers, Darrell (Carolyn) Williams, Dean (Connie) Williams, David (Mandi) Williams; nine grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; and special friend and high school sweetheart Karin Hall.

He was preceeded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Bonnie Lee; brother, Donald; and his in-laws, Gordon and Hazel Enger.

Per dad’s request there will be no funeral. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Bonnie in a private burial at a later date.
