Gloria Jeanne Moore, 79

Mankato (formerly of Blue Earth) – Memorial Service for Gloria J. Moore, age 79, of Mankato, formerly of Blue Earth, will be 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Inurnment will be in the Evangelical Free Church Cemetery in East Chain, at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Gloria passed away on Tuesday morning, June 6, 2023, at Walker Methodist Care Suites in Edina. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gloria Jeanne (Anderson) Moore was born on May 27, 1944, in Fairmont. She was the daughter of Arlin and Erma (Poppe) Anderson. Gloria attended Sherburn public schools and graduated from Sherburn High School. She furthered her education at Mankato State University where she earned her teaching degree.
On Dec. 23, 1966, Gloria was united in marriage to Roger Moore in Sherburn. The couple resided on a farm south of Guckeen, and were blessed with three children, Molly, Daniel, and Nancy. Gloria was a teacher for thirteen years in Fairmont, Huntley, and East Chain. She also owned Moore’s Department Store in Blue Earth, Moore’s La Boutique in Blue Earth, and Lady X Fashions in Fairmont.
Gloria was a member of the East Chain Evangelical Free Church as well as volunteering as a member of the Faribault County Fair Board, East Chain 4-H, and the Blue Earth Chamber of Commerce.
Left to cherish her memory include her children: Molly (Mike) Wickam, of Plymouth, Dan (Lora) Moore, of Blue Earth, and Nancy (Jerry) Bonnifield, of Dassel; seven grandchildren: Blake Wickam, Savannah Wickam, Jessica Moore, Travis Moore, Eli Bonnifield, Evelyn Bonnifield, and AJ Bonnifield; sisters: Gayle Bruns, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Gwen (Bruce) Quesnell, of Whitehall, Montana, and Jennifer (Mark) Sandstrom of Ellsworth, Wisconsin; ex-husband, Roger Moore; other relatives and friends. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Arlin and Erma Anderson; and brother-in-law, George Bruns.
