Thomas Paul Schaible, 62
(Formerly of Delavan) – Thomas Paul Schaible, age 62 of Rochester, formerly of Delavan, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Rochester after a brief battle with cancer.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Church in Delavan, Rev. Jon Mapa officiated. Visitation was held prior to the service, from 9-11 a.m. Burial took place in East Lutheran Cemetery.
Tom was born on April 15, 1961 in Winnebago to Charles and Donna (Bonk) Schaible. He attended Delavan High School. Tom also attended two years of vocational school in Mankato. Tom was a hard worker, taking pride in his jobs from early on. He started out driving truck for Arnie Anderson out of Good Thunder, worked as assistant miller at Cargill in Mankato, later worked at IBM Warehouse in Rochester, and lastly was working as warehouse supervisor at ABC Center in Rochester. Tom also worked as a nighttime caregiver at a home for the disabled.
Tom was a caring man, always serving others. When he wasn’t working, Tom was enjoying time spent with his family. He loved watching his sons and nephews playing baseball. His granddaughter’s held a special place in his heart.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Carey (Krystal) Welder, of Chatfield, and Kyle (Natalie) Schaible, of Alexandria; father, Chuck Schaible, of Delavan; siblings, Bill (Karen) Schaible, of Delavan, and Diane (Jeff) Bell, of Blue Earth; granddaughters, Sophie and Adalyn Welder and Ensley Schaible; step-children from a previous marriage, Stacie and Brian; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Donna.
