Louise Patten, 95

Winnebago – Louise Patten passed away at age 95 on Oct. 9, 2023 at the United Hospital in Blue Earth. Memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Louise was born in Kenyon, on Sept. 18, 1928, to Dewey Edward and Mercedes Ernestine (Wintz) Wolf. After attending grade school in Nerstrand, she graduated from Faribault High School in 1946. Louise married Robert J. Patten on Oct. 7, 1947 in Faribault. In 1953, while living in Blooming Prairie, Bob and Louise established Patten Improvement, a roofing, siding, and insulation business. They moved to Albert Lea in 1954 and lived there until 1962 when Bob and Louise relocated in Winnebago. The business was renamed Patten Roofing and she and Bob worked side by side for many years.
Louise gave generously of her time, talents, and resources serving her church and community. She loved being outdoors and caring for her yard, vegetable and flower gardens, apple trees, and raspberry patch. Above all, her family was her greatest treasure.
She is survived by her children, Roxanne (Frank) Mennenga, of Huntley, Sam (Nina) Patten, of Winnebago, and Robert (Debra) Patten, of Bixby, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Lukas, Mason, Addie, Molly, Laura, Zac, Dan, Troy, Kristi and Ben, 25 great-grandchildren; and sister, Naomi Sprute.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; son, Dan; granddaughter, Lonni Patten; sisters, Betty Rothanburg, MaryLou Zimmerman; and brothers, Dewey Wolf and David Wolf.
Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, UHD Hospice, Blue Earth or Interfaith Caregivers, Blue Earth.
