Beulah “Bee” M. Volz, 96
Elmore – Beulah Marie “Bee” Volz, age 96, of Elmore, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 at Elmore United Methodist Church. A time for visitation will be at Patton Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Private family burial will take place at a later date at Riverview Cemetery, Elmore.
Beulah Marie Walton was born on March 31, 1927 on a farm near Elmore to Dwight and Mayme (Wildman) Walton. She attended and graduated from Elmore High School in the class of 1945. On Sept. 25, 1945, Bee married James F. Volz in the Elmore United Methodist Church. Together the couple had three children, John, Judy, and James. Bee also worked several jobs, including working at Bomgaars, Walmart, Green Giant, and Elmore Grocery.
Bee enjoyed quilting and sewing. She made over 1000 quilts in her lifetime, of course giving several to each of her family members, but also donating many to the Ronald McDonald House. Bee was a very active member of the Elmore United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed traveling with her niece, Linda. Above all else, she loved faith, family, and the Minnesota Vikings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, John (Rita) Volz, of Elmore, and James “Jim” (Shelley) Volz, of Elmore; grandchildren, Hannah (Austin) Bressler, of Huntley, Travis (Elise) Volz, of Frost; great-grandchildren, Myles and Reese Bressler, Jaydyn Volz, and Grant and Carly Volz; and step-grandchildren, Brittany and Ethan Armstrong.
Preceding her in death is her husband; parents; daughter, Judy Volz; grandsons, Dusty Volz and Michael Volz; brothers, Norval, Willard “Bill”, Floyd, and Darrel Walton; sister, Thelma Vaughn; and special niece, Linda Staples.
