Larry D. Feldick, 72
(Formerly of Blue Earth) – Larry Dean Feldick, born April 25, 1951 in Blue Earth. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Anna Mae Hutchins (Feldick). He departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Dec. 6, 2023 at the age of 72, surrounded by his family.
Larry is survived by his brother, George Feldick, of Brewster; and his four children from his first marriage to Margaret Davis (Knutson), son, Rob (Michelle) Feldick, of Denton, Texas; son, Christopher (Jessica) Feldick, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; daughter, Jennifer (Randy) Essick, of Spencer, Iowa; and daughter, Sarah (Abe) Atsemet, of Erie, Colorado. He had 10 grandchildren from his children and four great-grandchildren. In 1991 Larry remarried Sandy Garvick, who had a daughter Jaime. From Jaime he gained four more grandchildren and three more great-grandchildren. After retiring, Larry moved from his beloved home in Two Harbors to Spencer, Iowa to be closer to his children. On any given day you would find him somewhere chatting it up with his dear friend Norm, visiting the ladies at the bank or bidding away at a local auction. Larry was an avid scrapper all of his life, and during retirement he got to spend most of his time doing the hobby he loved so much! He would tell the story that his first adventure in scrapping was with him and his brother, where they brought a whole bunch of metal scraps and tin cans in his red wagon uptown and traded it in for cash. This one adventure turned him on to a lifetime hobby.
We will miss our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Above all we give him thanks for leading our family, and it gives us strength to know he is with our Lord in Heaven who now has him and watches over all of us! The family will be holding a private memorial service.
