Blue Earth – Paul “Ticker” Christensen passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 at Patton Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Paul Melvin was born on May 23, 1965 in Blue Earth to Harold and Arlet (Lium) Christensen. He attended Bricelyn High School. Ticker went on to vo-tech and obtained his automotive repair diploma. He worked at Winnebago Industries for many years. He then worked for long time friend Jeff Peterson at E & I Specialists. While at E & I, he earned his Journeyman Electricians license. He later was Maintenance electrician at Fairmont Foods. On Oct. 28, 2000, he married Deb Bleess in Blue Earth. The couple was blessed with two boys.

Ticker was a member of the SSPP Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a scout leader when the boys were young. He was a family man, friendly, and seemed to know people wherever they went. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He was a Minnesota sports fan to his core. Ticker was always rooting for the Minnesota Vikings.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Deb; sons, Paul Joseph “PJ” (special friend, Alli Wormwood), of Brookings, South Dakota and Zachary, of Blue Earth; sisters, Rhonda (Dennis) Johnson, of Bricelyn and Dawn (Tim) Haskins, of Kiester; mother- in-law, Una Bleess (John Gerdes); brothers-in-law, Nick (Shelley) Bleess and Ashley (Kelly) Bleess, both of Blue Earth; sister-in-law, Julie (special friend, Ryan Kirby) Bleess, of Mankato; special friends, Kyle Espeland and Sharyl Boyd; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many more friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis (Gloria) Woodwick; nephews, Jason and Jesse Johnson; and father-in-law, Nick Bleess.
