Jill L. Annen, 60

Mankato/Winnebago – Jill Leslie Annen, 60, of Mankato, MN passed away peacefully at Mankato Hospital, Sept. 18, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on Oct. 5, 1963 in Beloit, Wisconsin, to Lester and Bonita (Rundquist) Annen. Jill was raised and graduated high school in Winnebago.

In her younger years she worked as a home health aide, living most of her life in Fairmont. She took part in different community groups and churches. Jill was a joyful soul who always wore a smile no matter the circumstances. Jill loved her family. She especially loved her great nieces and nephews. She always had pictures of them; showing them off to anyone she could.

She loved shopping and buying gifts for the kids. Jill loved her weekly visits of shopping and lunching with her mom. She loved getting fresh fish from her dad. Jill had the biggest collection of teddy bears, she had so many different shapes, sizes, and types. Her favorite was her hand-crafted bear her sister made for her. Jill took great pride in the woodworking decorations made for her by her brother.

In Jill’s spare time she enjoyed cross stitching, plastic canvas, crocheting, and playing Bingo. She was proud of her stash of Bingo bucks she had collected.

Jill was preceded in death by her sister, Janelle Hawkridge; grandparents, George and Esther Annen and Waldemar and Henrietta Rundquist.

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Lester and Bonita Annen; siblings, Joel (Dalene) Annen, Jacqueline (Lyndon) Johnson; five nieces: Lynne (James) Duben, Samantha Johnson, Leigh Larsen, Gwendolyn Johnson, Henrietta (Alex) Schoenberg; six great nieces and nephews: Wyatt, Wesley, and Walker Duben, Andorra Huwe, Rylyn and Rhys Larsen; her aunt, Louise Danley.

A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Berean Baptist Church in Winnebago, Pastor Don Kain officiated. Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago.
