Gordon Michael Enger was born on April 5, 1950, in Blue Earth, to Gordon and Hazel Enger. He always had love and pride for his hometown of Blue Earth where he was committed to being an active member of the community. Outside of his family and running his Southern Minnesota Appraisal business his interests were wide; many will remember him as an enthusiastic outdoorsman. He enjoyed any opportunity to pheasant, duck or deer hunt. Others will remember him as a loyal friend, car enthusiast, and concert-goer. Additionally, he was an avid MN Twins fan (the baseball team but also his daughters).

He’ll be dearly missed and remembered as being a supportive and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Michael graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1968. His athletic talents led him to achieve the most varsity letters at Blue Earth High School for participating in football, baseball, basketball and track and field. He went on to attend college at Rochester Junior College and enjoyed the success and camaraderie of playing on the Yellow Jackets football team.

Michael married Elizabeth Enger (Boehlke) on Aug. 7, 1976. They had four children together.

He is survived by his sons, Benjamin (Therin) of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Nick (Kelly) of Rochester, MN; twin daughters, Christine (Chris) Detert of Kasson, MN, Lindsay (Chris) Ries of Aberdeen, NC; 13 grandchildren, Quintin, Asher, Maverick, Juniper, Brody, Griffin, Rowan, Luca, Rivers, Saylor, Teagan, Madison, and Kane; sisters, Jean Wagner and Kac (Don) Turvold; his longtime love, Karelyn Lacher; and his beloved dog companion, Inger.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel (Denney) and Gordon Enger and sister, Bonnie Williams.
