Delavan – Shirley Millmann, age 88, of Delavan, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov.13, 2024 in Mankato, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, Nov.19, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Patton Funeral Home, Deacon Gene Paul officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery near Delavan.

Shirley Katherine (Lux) Millmann was born on March 9, 1936, to Orval “Bus” and Lila (Croust) Lux in Waukee, Iowa. She moved to Minnesota at the age of three and attended country school at Winnebago until third grade. Then, Shirley moved to Delavan where she attended grade school and graduated from Delavan High School in 1953. While working in Mankato for two years, she met the love of her life and married Pat Millmann on April 14, 1956 in Winnebago. The couple was blessed with two children, Cindy and Brian.

Shirley took joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially in her love for gardening, planting and growing flowers. She also committed her time working at Electro-Craft and St. Luke’s for many years. Above all, Shirley treasured spending time with her loved ones, creating happy memories together. She especially cherished moments with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her strong commitment to the family and friends never wavered, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Cindy Willard; her son, Brian (Jean) Millmann; two grandchildren, Taylor (Brenda) Millmann and Jamie Jones; great- grandchildren, Caitlyn Holm, Madison Boyd, Gage and Grayson Larson, Wyatt, Will, and Preston Jones, Avery (MaryLee) Teubner, Nolan and Gavin Millmann; brother, Richard (Jeannie) Lux; and sister, Janet (Roy) Olsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pat Millmann; grandson, Jesse Bartholomew; sister, Betty Wallace; and brother-in-law, William Wallace.
