Blue Earth – Melvin Place, age 90, of Blue Earth, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, at his home.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Donnita of 51 years; his children: Gayle (Charlie) Hander, Diane Wiltse, Michael (Ally) Erpelding, and Jon (Kelly) Erpelding; grandchildren: Ryan (Kathy), Jon (Jena), Brooke, Jack and fiancé Molly, Maxwell, Cole, Shelly, Lexie, Rochelle (Bob), and Michael (Sara); 12 great-grandchildren. His greatest joy in life was being with his wife and family. We will miss you so very much, but know you will be in God’s loving arms.
