To the Editor:

I am writing in regards to an article about cutting down trees in Blue Earth – the beautiful city I love.

I remember growing up on East Ninth Street. I remember kids picking up chunks of ice from track; Hanson’s beautiful flowers, and the skating rink where the hospital is now.

I do hope the council will reconsider and not cut down the trees.

I know a tree is nature’s way of being an air conditioner on hot summer days – also providing shade. Besides, the birds are so happy. I love birds!
