1. All commissioners were present. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
2. Approved synopsis and official proceedings of the March 19, 2008 regular meeting.
3. Approved agenda of April 1, 2008.
4. Approved advertising for a County Medical Examiner.
5. Commissioner Warmka excused himself to attend a funeral.
6. Appointed Chuck Pingry of Blue Earth to the Mankato Rehab Center Inc. (MRCI) Board of Directors for a four-year term ending April 1, 2012.
7. Approved Resolution 08-CB-07 that proclaims April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Commissioners Erichsrud, Groskreutz, Loveall, Steier, and Warmka voted yes.
8. Approved granting a 90-day extension to Norma Mensing on an MVAC loan before any action is taken.
9. Approved bid from Ulland Bros., Inc. for SAP 22-621-25, CSAH 21 reconstruction, of $1,830,054.99 contingent upon approval from the city of Minnesota Lake. Other bids received were $1,944,948.00 from GM Contracting, Inc.; $1,892.224.20 from Holtmeier Construction; $1,932,112.05 from Northdale Construction; $2,384,962.50 from Reilly Construction; and $1,868,641.35 from Southern Minnesota Construction.
10. Approved advertising a bid letting on six bridges, replacing with box culverts in four locations and not to replace two locations on minimum maintenance roads.
11. Approve Resolution 08-RB3-08 for the advancement of $250,000 in MNDOT funds. Commissioners Erichsrud, Groskreutz, Loveall, and Steier voted yes. Commissioner Warmka was absent.
12. Appointed Marilyn Slama to fill the remainder of Tim Hynes term on the County Library Board expiring December 31, 2010.
13. Approve the leasing of a W5030PH Xerox copier at a rate of $202.31 per month from the Xerox Corporation with $.0129 per copy full service and maintenance with supplies.
14. Approved request of S. Determan to attend a one day “How to Supervise People” training in Mankato; D. Sundquist to attend a three-day Mn Fraud Investigators Assoc. spring conference; S. Linde to a two-day firearm instructor update in Maple Grove; N. Haas to attend a two-day MCAPS training in Alexandria.
15. Approved payment of bills totaling $90,100.62.
Discussion was held concerning the following:
1. M. Gormley met regarding sheriff office business.
2. J. McDonald met regarding public works business.

The meeting was adjourned to April 15, 2008.
