The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by Bly, Chairperson. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. On an Johanson/Haugh motion the Board approved the agenda.

Public Input: Presentations were made by Ecology students. Mr. Schoenfelder & Mrs. Van Kley were present with these students.

The minutes of the April 14, 2008 regular meeting were approved on an Eckhardt/Hanson motion.

On a Johanson/Cahill motion five transfers/wires and payment of bills in the amount of $1,056,048.73 were approved.

Bly congratulated girls track for advancing to the true State Team meet. Volunteer recognition reception was well attended, Bly thanked those who attended or assisted in the success of the event. Bly mentions June 4th as an end-of-year recognition day for staff.

Superintendent Brandsoy gave his report. Brandsoy updated the Board on the status of the Little Lukes Lease. A copy of that lease was presented to each board member.

There were no Committee reports.

Principal reports were given by McGuire, Eustice and Grant.

Action Items:

On a Hanson/Haugh motion, the Board approved the original Budget proposal for 2008/2009 as presented. Unanimous approval.

Member Johanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution for reallocation of General Education Revenue for 2008/2009 (Minnesota Statute, Section 126C.23). The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Eckhardt and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof-Bly, Cahill, Haugh, Hanson, Eckhardt, Fellows, Johanson. The following voted against: none. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

The District Strategic Plan Proposal was further discussed with no further action being taken at this time.

On a Johanson/Cahill motion, the Board approved the Contract for services with LarsonAllen, Certified Public Accountants. Unanimous approval.

On a Cahill/Fellows motion, the Board approved contracts for Kellie Parnell, 1.0 FTE Middle School Science and Brooke Schultz, 1.0 FTE Middle School Communications. Unanimous approval.

On an Eckhardt/Hanson motion, the Board rescinded the Leave request of Barbara Carlson, Half-time Leave. Unanimous approval.

On a Cahill/Eckhardt motion, the Board approved the resignation of Rhonda Osborn, Paraprofessional. Unanimous approval.

On a Cahill/Hanson motion, the Board adjourned at 7:50 p.m. Unanimous approval.
