NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LIVESTOCK
FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes 116.07, subd. 7(a), that Charles Carlson, will be applying to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or Faribault County for a permit to expand or construct a feedlot with the capacity of 960 animal units or more.
The feedlot proposed to be expanded or constructed is located in the Southwest quarter (SW1/4) of the Southwest quarter (SW1/4) of Section Four (4), Township One Hundred Four (104) North, Range Twenty-Eight (28) West, Winnebago City Township in Faribault County, Minnesota. The proposed expansion or construction will consist of 2400 head, 960 animal units, of swine between 55 and 300 pounds, the feedlot is owned by Charles Carlson.
The proposed feedlot operation will consist of one 102′ x 192′ hog confinement building which will house 2400 head, (swine weighing between 55 and 300 pounds) 960 animal units with a 102’x192’x8′ concrete pit for manure.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
A Public Meeting will be held on July 15, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at the Faribault County Board of Commissioners meeting in the Faribault County Courthouse for citizen input in request to the feedlot being permitted.
