NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LIVESTOCK

FEEDLOT PERMIT

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes 116.07, subd. 7(a), that Paul Obermeyer, will be applying to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency of Faribault County for a permit to expand a feedlot with the capacity of 828.5 animal units or more.

The feedlot proposed to expand is located in the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of Section Thirty-Six (36), Township One Hundred Two (102), Range Twenty-Four (24) West, Foster Township, Faribault County, Minnesota. The proposed expansion will consist of 160 head, (112 animal units), of Feeder Cattle. The feedlot is owned by Paul Obermeyer. The proposed feedlot operation will consist of one 130 x 64 Cattle Partial Confinement building which will house 160 Feeder Cattle weighing up to 700 pounds, 112 animal units with manure pack for manure.

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.

A Public Meeting will be held on August 5, 2008, 10:00 AM, at the Faribault County Board of Commissioners meeting in the Faribault County Courthouse for citizen input in request to the feedlot being permitted.
