Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements

RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals for the work described below will be received by the Administrator at the City Hall until June 4, 2009, 1:30 p.m., at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes the following:

A. Construct two (2) new cast-in-place sludge storage tanks with a total capacity of 0.75 MG, three (3) submersible sludge mixers, one (1) sludge transfer pump and associated piping.

B. Install new 1500 gpm @ 10′ TDH sludge mixing pump with all associated piping and modifications.

C. Install heat exchanger (furnished by the OWNER), a new sludge grinder pump, a new sludge transfer pump and the associated piping.

D. Installation of stainless steel lines in primary digester sludge box.

E. Replacement of roof flashing on pretreatment building

F. Replacement of pressure relief and flame check valve.

COMPLETION OF WORK: All work under the Contract must be complete within 365 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
