The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Blue Earth Area, I.S.D #2860 was held on Monday April 8, 2013 in Blue Earth, MN.
Present were School Board members: J. Haugh, M. Eckhardt, D. Fellows, V. Hanson, F. Bly, M. Maher and T. Cahill.
Also attending were Supt. Gough, members of the press, staff and public.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairperson Bly. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
On an Cahill/Haugh motion the board approved the agenda. Unanimous approval.
The Agenda was approved on a Hanson/Haugh motion.
Public input: None
On an Fellows/Hanson motion, the board unanimously approved the minutes from the March meeting.
The board unanimously approved ten money transfers in the amount of $1,480,295.80. Eckhardt/Fellows motion.
Chairperson’s report: Chairman Bly congratulated the wrestlers from BEA for being named Class A Academic Champions. Also congratulations to Randy Kuechenmeister for being named Class AAA Coach of the year. Bly also acknowledged March as “Music In Our Schools” month and encouraged everyone to enjoy the upcoming concerts.
