A Petition for Determination of Descent has been filed with this Court. The Petition represents that the Decedent died more than three years ago, leaving property in Minnesota and requests the probate of Decedent’s last Will dated N/A, if any, and the descent of such property be determined and assigned by this Court to the persons entitled to the property.
Any objections to the Petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper, and no objections are filed or raised, the Petition may be granted.
IT IS ORDERED and Notice is further given, that the Petition will be heard on July 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. by this Court at Blue Earth, Minnesota.
(1) Notice shall be given to all interested persons (Minn. Stat. 524.1-401) and persons who have filed a demand for notice pursuant to Minn. State. 524.3-204.
(2) Notice shall be given by publishing the Notice and Order as provided by law and by: Mailing a copy of this Notice and Order at least 14 days prior to the hearing date.

REQUEST FOR BIDS
The City of Bricelyn is accepting bids for repair of the Mainstreet streetlights. Bid information can be picked up at the City Clerk’s office on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s from 12-5 pm and Thursday’s 1 pm-5 pm Bids must be in the City Office no later than 5 p.m. on June 11th, 2013. They will be opened, considered and a possible decision made at our Regular Council Meeting at 7 pm on June 11th, 2013.

BLUE EARTH AREA SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

May 13, 2013
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Blue Earth Area, I.S.D #2860 was held on Monday May 13, 2013 in Blue Earth, MN.
Present were School Board members: J. Haugh, M. Eckhardt, V. Hanson, F. Bly, M. Maher and T. Cahill. Absent was member Dawn Fellows.
Also attending were Supt. Gough, members of the press, staff and public.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairperson Bly. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
On a Haugh/Eckhardt motion, the board approved the agenda. Unanimous approval.
Public Input: None
The minutes of the April meeting were approved on an Eckhardt/Maher motion. Unanimous approval.
The board unanimously approved five money transfers in the amount of $2,518,851.96. Haugh/Maher motion.
Chairperson’s report: Chairman Bly congratulated the Boys & Girls Track Teams on their recent qualifying for the State True Team Track Invite. He also congratulated the FFA program for their recent placing at the State events.
Superintendents Report:
Evan Gough gave a legislative update regarding school funding. The projected enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year is 1232 students.
Committee Reports: The Certified Staff and Board Reps have met for the first time and will be scheduling more dates.
Principal Reports:
Cue reported that testing is finishing up and that the service learning day at the middle school was well organized and the staff and students did a lot of good throughout the communities. McGuire announced that the PLC Coordination for next year is in place. Schneider gave a report on registration at the High School. It is also a very busy month at the High School with Banquets for Academics, Athletics, FFA, and the Fine Arts.
Other Reports:
Sharon Hoyt was on hand and gave an update on the wellness plan within the school district. Approval of the plan will be sought in June. She also gave the Board an update on the “SHIP” Grants the District is involved with.
Action Items:
On a Maher/Hanson motion the Board unanimously approved the capital outlay and deferred maintenance budgets for 2013-2014.
The Board approved a contract for services with Clifton-Larson-Allen, Certified Public Accountants.
On a Haugh/Hanson motion the board passed a Resolution for membership to the MSHSL for 2013-2014. Voting in favor were Bly, Hanson, Eckhardt, Cahill, Maher and Haugh.
Personnel:
The following personnel items were approved unanimously on a Cahill/Maher motion.
Approved the hire of Stephen DeMarce- custodian B-2-1
Approved the Title I Coordinator contract with Kevin Grant.
Approved the Resignation of Myrna Pirsig-Secretary. Devin Drager- MS English.
Approved a leave request for Kim Sass- Para.
Approved a lane change for Molly More from a BA15-MA.
Approved the Retirement of Terry Barnes- MS.
The Board adjourned the regular meeting to enter into a closed session for the sole purpose of conducting Superintendent Evan Gough’s review at 7:18pm.
The Board re-adjourned at 7:41pm and a summary of the Superintendents review was given. The Board was very pleased with Superintendent Gough’s performance during his first school year here with us. He has met or exceeded the Boards Expectations in our evaluation criteria.
On a Cahill/Maher motion, the board was dismissed at 7:46pm
