NOTICE OF HEARING ON VIEWERS REPORTS
Notice is hereby given, that a proceeding has been commenced by the Drainage Authority of County Ditch #68 Faribault County, Minnesota, for the redetermination of benefits and damages and benefited areas and damaged areas of County Ditch #68 and its various laterals, extensions and improvements.
That the proceeding is pending.
That the viewers appointed herein have made and filed their report in the office of the Faribault County Auditor-Treasurer in Blue Earth, Minnesota.
That the following is a brief description of the lands drained by County Ditch #68 Faribault County by its main open ditch, main tile, improvements, various laterals, extensions and tile systems. Said system drains all or part of the following townships in:
Barber Township Sections 25,26,35,36; Brush Creek Township Section 6; Emerald Township Section 1; Walnut Lake Township Sections 30,31

AND THAT, THEREFORE, on July 29, 2013 at 1:15 p.m. in Hamilton Hall, 202 South Main Street in Blue Earth, MN the Drainage Authority of said system shall hear and consider said viewers’ report, and all the persons interested in the redetermination of benefits are invited to appear and be heard before the Joint Drainage Authority, for and against the proposed redetermination of benefits with respect to any other matters in connection therewith. A copy of the viewers’ report can be examined at the office of the Faribault County Auditor, 415 North Main, Blue Earth MN. Reports may also be found online at www.co.faribault.mn.us.
An informational meeting with the viewers will be held on July 17th at 1:15 p.m. in Hamilton Hall, 202 South Main Street in Blue Earth, MN. These meetings are held to inform landowners on how the benefits were calculated and to discuss individual concerns. Landowners and interested parties are encouraged to attend these meetings.

BLUE EARTH AREA SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

June 10, 2013
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Blue Earth Area, I.S.D #2860 was held on Monday June 10, 2013 in Blue Earth, MN.
Present were School Board members: J. Haugh, M. Eckhardt, D. Fellows, F. Bly, M. Maher and T. Cahill.
Also attending were Supt. Gough, members of the press, staff and public.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairperson Bly. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
On a Haugh/Fellows motion the board approved the agenda. Unanimous approval.
Public input: None
On an Cahill/Eckhardt motion, the board unanimously approved the minutes from the May meeting.
The board unanimously approved eleven money transfers in the amount of $1,831,575.70 Maher/Fellows motion.
Chairperson’s report: Chairman Bly declared a vacancy on the School Board due to the passing of long time member Vickie Hanson. Applications to fill this seat, which will be appointed by the Board, are due by July 8. Mr. Bly congratulated Mr. Plocker and his track teams for their recent success.
Superintendents Report:
The MSBA summer conference registrations need to get in and also the PLC Leaders will have a work session June 12-13.
Committee Reports: The negotiations with the certified staff continue and further dates are scheduled.
Principal Reports:
McGuire defined what needed to be done to submit the final report to the Department of Education. Schneider discussed how the end of the school year wrapped up and talked about all the activities that will be happening this summer at the High School.
Other Reports:
Ryan Hoffman was present to give an update on the HVAC project at the K-8 site. It is going very well and not a lot of surprises have come up and due to that the contingency fund still has money left. He and Al Gieser have prioritized a list of additional projects that will now be completed with those funds.
Donna Drescher was present and gave a report of the first year of the Q-comp program in our school. With her to give details were staff members Abby Bloomquist, Luke Beyer, Sue Schoenfelder, and Tom Plocker.
Action Items:
On an Eckhardt/Haugh motion the Board passed a Resolution for a Health Savings Account Plan. The following voted in favor: Bly, Fellows, Eckhardt, Cahill, Maher, and Haugh.
On a Haugh/Maher motion the board passed a Resolution to enter into discussions with the Southwest Conference a possible merger. Voting in favor were Bly, Fellows, Haugh, Cahill, Maher, and Eckhardt.
On an Eckhardt/Fellows motion the Board agreed to two modifications to the school calendar for 2013-2014.
The Board approved the original budget proposal for 2013-2014 on a Haugh/Cahill motion.
On a Fellows/Maher motion the Board approved a Resolution for Reallocation of General Ed. Revenue for 2013-2014. The following voted in favor: Bly, Eckhardt, Maher, Fellows, Cahill, and Haugh.
The Board approved wellness policy 533 unanimously on a Maher/Haugh motion.
An agreement for contracted services with YSI of Elmore was approved on a Cahill/Maher motion.
The Board meeting dates were approved on a Haugh/Eckhardt motion.
The following Investment Depositories were approved on a Cahill/Maher motion: MSDLAF, Wells Federal, Pioneer Bank of Delavan & Elmore, First Financial Bank, Winnebago, Wells Fargo, Frost State Bank and First Bank Blue Earth.
On an Eckhardt/Cahill motion the following people were designated as authorized personnel to handle wire transfers and wire payments: Heidi Olson, Karen Hougen and Alan Wilhelmi.
On a Haugh/Cahill Motion the Board approved staff use of Walmart & HyVee charge cards.
On a Cahill/Fellows motion the Board approved funds not to exceed $3000 for the spring and fall recognition events.
The Health and Safety budget for 2014-2015 was approved on a Haugh/Cahill motion.
Personnel:
Elizabeth Kollasch was hired for a 1.0 FTE Special Ed. Teacher. Eckhardt/Maher motion.
On a Cahill/Maher motion the following resignations were approved: Laura Jensen (5th grade), Marissa Lehmann (MS Math), Alex Schmidt (2nd grade), and Sue Sonnek (K-8 food service)
The following Retirements were approved on an Eckhardt/Haugh motion: Paul Schavey (custodian) and Sharon Hoyt (School Nurse).
On a Cahill/Maher motion the termination of Melanie Hannamann (Para) was approved.
A lane change for Jodee Lund from a BA to a BA15 was approved on a Haugh/Fellows motion.
A maternity leave for Nicole Mutschler was approved on an Eckhardt/Maher motion.
On a Cahill/Fellows motion, the board was dismissed at 7:47pm.
