NOTICE OF

PUBLIC HEARING

UNITED HOSPITAL DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing shall be conducted by the United Hospital District (the “District”) to consider the lease of its Health Care System to United Hospital District, Inc. (“UHDI”), a Minnesota nonprofit corporation. The Health Care System includes a 25-bed acute care hospital facility located at 515 S. Moore Street, Blue Earth, Minnesota; a 24-bed adolescent chemical dependency treatment center located at 620 First Avenue S.W., Winnebago, Minnesota; and medical clinics located at 515 S. Moore Street, Blue Earth, MN, 55 First Street S.E., Wells, MN and 1 N. Main Street, Winnebago, MN. Acquisition, construction and improvement of the Health Care System was financed in part through the issuance of tax-exempt gross revenue bonds of the District, issued under authority of Minnesota Statutes, Sections 447.31 through 447.50 (the “Act”), including Health Care Facilities Gross Revenue Bonds, Series 2003, currently outstanding in the principal amount of $1,618,348 and Health Care Facilities Gross Revenue Bonds, Series 2009, currently outstanding in the principal amount of $9,930,973. The District proposes to lease and transfer the operation and assets of the Health Care System to UHDI, as authorized by the Act.

The hearing will be held at the offices of the District at 515 S. Moore Street, Blue Earth, Minnesota, on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 4:00 o’clock P.M. At such time and place the District shall give all parties who appear or submit written comments an opportunity to express their views with respect to the proposal.
