Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Doug Becker has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Faribault for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The proposed feedlot will be located in the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 23, Barber Township (T. 103N., R. 26 W.), Faribault County, Minnesota. The proposed new facility will consist of 2,400 swine between 55 and 300 pounds housed in a total confinement barn with a poured reinforced concrete pit for manure storage. The total animal unit capacity will be 960 animal units.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
A public meeting will be held on June 16, 2015 at 4:15 pm at the Faribault County Board of Commissioner’s meeting at the Faribault County Courthouse for citizen input in regard to the feedlot being permitted.
