BLUE EARTH AREA SCHOOL BOARD PROCEEDINGS

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Blue Earth Area, I.S.D. #2860 was held on Monday, November 16, 2016, in Blue Earth, MN.
Present were School Board members: J. Haugh, D. Fellows, F. Bly, S. Ripley, A. Patten and S. Hauskins. Also Attending were Supt. Gough, principals, members of the press, staff and public.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairperson Bly. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
On a Haugh/Fellows motion, the Board approved the agenda.
Public Input: Norm Hall thanked the school district for the support of the You Can Make a Difference Campout which has raised over $250,000 over the past 20 years. He also invited everyone to the program on Friday December 2 at 2:00 p.m.
On a Patten/Ripley motion, the Board unanimously approved the minutes from the October meeting.
Eight money transfers were approved in the amount of $1,294,855.80. Fellows/ Hauskins motion.
Action Items
On a Bly/Haugh motion the board approved the Italy Trip.
The following donation from the wrestling boosters was approved on a Haugh/Hauskins motion with special thanks to the wrestling boosters.

On a Ripley/Patten motion the Board approved Melissa McGuire to be the Designated LEA Representative for BEA School (Title I).
