FINAL HEARING NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Faribault County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the drainage authority for County Ditch #3 will hold a final hearing on the pending Redetermination of Benefits and the viewers’ report of benefits and damages that was filed with the drainage authority on February 15, 2018 and is available for inspection at the offices of the County Auditor, 415 North Main, Blue Earth, MN. The hearing shall be held at 9:00 a.m. on March 27, 2018, at Hamilton Hall, 209 South Main St, Blue Earth, MN, 56013. At the final hearing, the drainage authority will accept public comment regarding the viewers’ reports. Any party having an interest in the proceedings may appear and provide comment. Written comments will be accepted at the hearing and by mail through the date of the hearing at the office of the Faribault County Auditor, 415 North Main, PO Box 130, Blue Earth, MN 56013.

County Ditch #3 is an open channel system that begins in Section 30 of Walnut Lake Township and outlets in Section 4 of Lura Township. Lands in Lura Township, Barber Township, City of Easton, Minnesota Lake Township and Walnut Lake Township are affected by County Ditch #3.

The following properties are affected by the damages and/or benefits in the viewers’ report of benefits and damages:

Lura Township, Sections: 4, 5, 9, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 35, 36 including lands within the City of Easton;

Barber Township, Sections: 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 25;

Minnesota Lake Township, Section: 30;

BLUE EARTH AREA SCHOOLS

RENOVATION

Sealed Prime General Contract bids for Blue Earth Area Schools High School Roof Renovation will be received by the Owner at the Districts Offices’ Conference Room, 315 East 6th Street, Blue Earth, Minnesota 56013 by mail or personal delivery until Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at which date and time the bids will be opened and read aloud.

A pre bid conference and walk-through will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at the Blue Earth High School. Interested bidders should meet at door “L”.

Project Scope: Selective demolition and construction of a roof renovation and other Work indicated in the specifications.

Bidders shall submit their proposal on the forms provided. Proposal shall be filled in clearly and correctly with ink or other permanent format. Proposal shall be signed in ink by the individual, members of the partnership, or by one or more officers of the corporation making the proposal.

If a bid is to be mailed, the bid envelope shall be sealed in a regular mailing envelope. FAX and E-mail Bids will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to hold and consider the bids for 30 days after the date of the bid opening.

Bids shall be accompanied by a bidder’s bond, or certified check payable to Blue Earth Area Schools for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid including add alternates. A bidder’s bond shall include certified copy of the power of attorney.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Blue Earth, Minnesota (the “City”) will meet on Monday, April 16, 2018, at or after 5:05 p.m., at the City Hall in Blue Earth, Minnesota, in part to hold a public hearing concerning (1) the intention to issue general obligation capital improvement plan bonds in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 and (2) the proposal to adopt a capital improvement plan for 2018 through 2022 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 475.521. The proceeds of the bonds will be used to finance the acquisition and betterment of a new public works facility within the City.

If a petition requesting a vote on the issuance of the bonds, signed by voters equal to five percent of the votes cast in the City in the last general election, is filed with the City Administrator within 30 days after the public hearing (i.e., by May 17, 2018), the City may issue the Bonds only after obtaining approval of a majority of voters voting on the question at an election.

A copy of the plan is available for inspection in the City Administrator’s Office, City Hall, 125 W 6th Street, Blue Earth, Minnesota 56013-4502. Question or comments may be directed to the City Administrator’s Office at 507-526-7336.
