It is Ordered and Notice is given that on May 29, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., a hearing will be held in this Court at 415 N. Main St., Blue Earth, Minnesota, for the adjudication of intestacy and determination of heirship of the Decedent, and for the appointment of Rachel A. Anderson, whose address is 1127 Highland Drive, Blue Earth, MN 56013, as Personal Representative of the Estate of the Decedent in an UNSUPERVISED administration. Any objections to the petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper, and no objections are filed or raised, the Personal Representative will be appointed with full power to administer the Estate, including the power to collect all assets, to pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses, to sell real and personal property, and to do all necessary acts for the Estate.

Notice is also given that (subject to Minnesota Statues section 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the Personal Representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.

Notice is given that an Application for Informal Probate of Will and Informal Appointment of Personal Representative was filed with the Registrar, along with a Will dated October 27, 2000. The Registrar accepted the application and appointed Dale J. Strauser, whose address is P.O. Box 143, Granada, Minnesota 56039, to serve as the personal representative of the decedent’s estate.

Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. 4. During public comment Johanna Hoecker spoke regarding increased funding for mental health issues.

5. Approved hiring of part-time dispatcher/jailers Skylee Bell and Nicholas Casias.

6. Approved credit card application of County Assessor Gertrude Paschke with a limit of $2,500 per the County credit card policy.

7. Approved findings and order for the CD 24 Improvement Project. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

8. Approved advertising for 2018 county-wide crack sealing project.

9. Motion died for lack of second to hire a replacement to allow for training of signing personnel.

10. Approved an advance of $29,467.86 for the purchase of a transit bus.

11. Approved liquor licenses effective April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019 for Minn-Iowa Golf Club Inc., Riverside Town & Country Club, and Derby Inn and an off-sale license for the Derby Inn contingent upon the approval of the County Attorney and the County Sheriff.

12. Closed meeting to discuss possible litigation and settlement for the AISG contract for security at the courthouse and law enforcement center.

13. Approved payment bills totaling $764,277.81.

Discussion was held concerning the following:

1. D. Fellows met regarding central services business.

Approved Resolution 18-RB02-11 authorizing the Public Works Director to negotiate with Canadian Pacific Railroad on prices for CSAH 32 at-grade crossings in Wells during the 2019 construction season and to sign the agreement. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

7. Approved purchase of a shop service truck: 2018 Ford 550 Chassis for $35,163 from Fairmont Ford (state contract) and a Maintainer box for $54,823 for a total price of $89,986. One other bid was received for a Crysteel box for $49,668.

8. Approved Resolution 18-CB-12 approving the Findings and Fact and Order regarding redetermination of benefits of CD 3. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

9. Approved Resolution 18-CB-13 approving the Findings and Fact and Order regarding redetermination of benefits of CD 64. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

10. Approved gambling permit application by Riverside Town & Country Club to sell raffle tickets with no waiting period.

11. Approved requests from B. Bonin and M. Purvis to attend a 4-day High Threat Close Quarter Battle training in Plymouth; K. Anderson and D. Esser to attend a 2-day MN Assoc. of County Auditors, Treasurers, and Finance Officers regional meeting in Morton; P. Campbell to attend a 1-day Traffic Signs 101 in Shoreview; L. Frommie to attend a 1-day South Central MN Emergency Preparedness Conference in Mankato; and M. Lore and D. Anderson to attend a 1-day MN Viewer’s Association meeting in Morton, MN.

12. Approved payment bills totaling $ 421,249.66.
