Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will commence at 10:00 a.m. on June 28, 2018, in the Elmore Municipal Building, 202 South Highway 169, Elmore, Minnesota 56027, before Administrative Law Judge LauraSue Schlatter.

The parties to this proceeding to date are the Petitioners, the City of Elmore, and Elmore Township. The Petitioners have requested an order authorizing the detachment of certain real property (Property) from the City of Elmore to Elmore Township. The hearing will be conducted pursuant to the procedures set out in Minn. R. ch. 6000 (2017) as supplemented by Minn. R. 1400.5010-.8400 (2017).

The City Council of the City of Elmore passed an Ordinance for the regulation of the sale and use of tobacco and tobacco related products within the City of Elmore. The Ordinance includes definitions concerning tobacco and tobacco related products. It states the purpose of the Ordinance is for the regulation of the general health and welfare of the citizens of Elmore. It establishes a system for the issuance of a license for the sale of tobacco and tobacco related products including the setting of how license fees will be determined. It establishes rules and regulations for the sale of tobacco including, but not limited to, who tobacco and tobacco related products may be sold to. It establishes penalties for violations of the Ordinance. A full copy of the Ordinance is available at Elmore City Hall for review by the public.
