CITY OF BLUE EARTH

PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Blue Earth City Council has scheduled a hearing at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2020 in the Council Chambers of City Hall to consider the following request from the Blue Earth Housing and Redevelopment Authority.

The applicant request is for one (1), one (1′-0″) foot setback for the west property line to insure the that the eaves do not overhang the property line; and for a five (5) foot setback to waive side yard setback restrictions of the east property line to position the setback as far away from Rice Street as possible.

1.) First Variance Request is to waive the fifteen-foot side yard setback requirement for west property line for R-2 residential district and allow for a one (1) foot setback off the west property line which will ensure that the eaves do not over-hang the property line;

2.) Second Variance Request to waive the fifteen-foot side yard setback restriction for east property for R-2 residential district and allow for a five (5) foot setback off the east property line which offers the structure the greatest distance from Rice Street.

The subject property is described as Lot 10 in Block 7 of Garretson’s Addition to the City of Blue Earth according to the Plat of said Anderson on file and of record in the Office of the Register of Deeds of said Faribault County, Minnesota.

The City Council will proceed to recommend for consideration at the Regular Council meeting being held April 13, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
