A Regular Board Meeting of the Board of Education of Blue Earth Area, I.S.D. #2860 was held on Monday July 13th, 2020 6:00 p.m. Conducted in person by telephone OR other Electronic means PURSUANT TO MINN. STAT. $ 13D.021

As a result of the peacetime emergency declared by the Governor of the State of Minnesota in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Superintendent of the School District has determined that it is feasible to hold in person meetings with proper social distancing, or meetings could be conducted by alternative means (teleconference or video-teleconference) from remote locations. Members of the public interested in monitoring the work session from a remote location made use of the following link: www.facebook.com?ISD2860

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Faribault County Board of Commissioners will meet at the Faribault County Courthouse Board Room, 415 N Main Street, Blue Earth, MN on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the application for an intoxicating off-sale liquor license by Steve Ricard d/b/a Derby Inn, LLC, 32041 115th St, Jo Daviess Township. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Street & Utility Improvements – 2020 – F18.111909 will be received by the office of the Clerk, City of Easton, 51 Main Street, Easton, MN 56025-0136, until 1:00 p.m. local time September 15, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of construction of sanitary sewer, storm sewer, watermain, aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, concrete walk and driveway pavement, bituminous pavement, and turf restoration.

Together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with Plans and Specifications. This project is subject to Buy American Iron and Steel Provisions, and Responsible Contractor Certification.

Bids will be received for a single prime unit price bid Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Bid Security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The deminimis and minor components waiver apply to this contract.” The nation-wide waiver regarding the following products apply to this contract: (1) pig iron; and (2) stainless steel bolts.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that The Faribault County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 8th 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room and/or Atrium of the Blue Earth Ag Center, Blue Earth, Minnesota, to consider amendments to Zoning Ordinance Section 19 Junk Yard Conditional Use Ordinance or drafting a new ordinance and/or policies that would establish enforcement guidelines for non-compliant properties.

It is the purpose of this Junk Yard Ordinance to set forth a process to allow for the permitting of Junk Yards, while continuing to assure the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Faribault County.
