Bids for the CD 60 Repair Project, Faribault County Drainage Authority, Faribault County, MN, will be received by the Board of Commissioners of the Faribault County Drainage Authority, on-line through Quest VirtuBid (vBid), until 10:00 AM, central time on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at which time they will be publicly opened on-line and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor and materials and all else necessary. It is the intent to provide a recommendation of award to the Board of Commissioners on October 6, 2020 for its selection and award of contract.

Repair 30 tile outlet pipes

and stabilize

Stabilize 43 tile outlets

Install 9 water quality drop

inlets

Contract Description

The contract is a unit price contract and is described in detail in Division 0 of the Project Specifications.

Project Schedule

No work shall commence sooner than October 6, 2020 or following harvest whichever is later. All work included in the contract other than warranty work shall be completed by May 1, 2021.

Project Plans and Documents The contract documents are available at www.questcdn.com. This contract is QuestCDN project number 7275937. A contractor may view the contract documents at no cost prior to deciding to become a Planholder. To be considered a Planholder for bids, a contractor must register with QuestCDN.com and purchase the contract documents in digital form at a cost of thirty dollars ($30.00). Registering as a Planholder is recommended for all prime contractors (potential bidders) and subcontractors as Planholders will receive automatic notice of addenda and other contract document updates via QuestCDN. For this project, bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click on the online bid button at the top of the bid advertisement page. Prospective bidders must be on the Planholder list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted.

Bid Bond

No bids will be considered unless submitted through www.QuestCDN.com and accompanied by a bidder’s security naming the Faribault County Drainage Authority (hereinafter referred to as the “Owner”) as oblige, a surety bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the Owner in the event that the bidder fails to enter into a contract.

The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. Deposits of the higher bidders will be returned within sixty (60) days of bid opening. No bids will be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the data and time set for the opening bids. Payment for the work will be by check.

The Owner may make investigation as they deem necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform the work. The Bidder shall furnish the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as the Owner may request. A Responsible Bidder Evaluation form is included in the accompanying documents and these items are required to be submitted through www.questcdn.com.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract(s) to the best interests of the Drainage Authority.

The potential bidders’ attention is directed to the Instructions to Bidders Section 00200 Article 20 and Section 00210 Pre-Bid Meeting with regard to the virtual pre-bid meeting scheduled for 2:00 PM, central time on September 22, 2020, unless otherwise modified by Addendum.

Notice is hereby given that the Winnebago Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the purposes of considering a partial vacation and or extension of an alley for The City of Winnebago located at Block-031. A copy of the petition follows. “We are requesting to vacate the alley on our block which is 3rd and 4th Ave SW, Winnebago, MN. This includes four parties with whom we have signatures. They are interested in proceeding forward with this request as well. Thanks, Bob and Julie Osborn, Bruce and Kris Sonnicksen, Zac and Amy Bartlett, and Juan Adams.” This meeting and public hearing will take place at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29th, 2020, at the Winnebago Municipal Center.
