HEARING ON APPROVAL
OF THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND THE ISSUANCE OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN BONDS
FARIBAULT COUNTY,
MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Faribault County, Minnesota (the “County”), will meet on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., in the Board room of the Faribault County Courthouse, 415 North Main Street, Blue Earth, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the County’s intention to approve the County’s Capital Improvement Plan (the “CIP”) and issue capital improvement plan bonds, in one or more series (the “Bonds”) in an amount not to exceed $4,000,000 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 373.40, for the purpose of financing the construction of various capital improvements identified in the CIP (the “Project”).
A draft copy of the CIP is available for public inspection at the County offices during business hours, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., on normal business days.
If a petition requesting a vote on the issuance of the Bonds, signed by voters equal to five percent of the votes cast in the last County general election, is filed with the County Auditor-Treasurer within thirty (30) days following the public hearing, the County may issue the Bonds only after approval by the voters at an election.
All persons interested may appear and be heard at the time set forth above, or may file written comments with the County Auditor-Treasurer prior to the date of the hearing set forth above. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 13D.021, County meetings are currently held virtually whenever possible.
