It is Ordered and Notice is given that on May 11, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., a hearing will be held in this Court at 415 N. Main St., Blue Earth, Minnesota, for the adjudication of intestacy and determination of heirship of the Decedent, and for the appointment of Joshua Hector, whose address is 208 W. 8th St., Blue Earth, MN, 56013 as Personal Representative of the Estate of the Decedent in an UNSUPERVISED administration. Any objections to the petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper and if no objections are filed or raised, the Personal Representative will be appointed with full power to administer the Estate, including the power to collect all assets, to pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses, to sell real and personal property, and to do all necessary acts for the Estate. This hearing will be held by Zoom. Contact the court for information on how to attend.
Notice is also given that (subject to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the Personal Representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF WINNEBAGO
Notice is hereby given that the Winnebago Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the purposes of issuing a variance to Chris Anderson, owner of a property located at 750 Cleveland Ave W.; Original Plat of Winnebago, Sect-34 Twp-104 Range-028 1.00 AC A.L 13 1/2. The variance request is to allow a hoop shed for storage of ag equipment and drying hemp in an R-1 district. This meeting and public hearing will take place at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the Winnebago Municipal Center.
All persons who wish to express their opinions regarding this proposed variance request can do so at this meeting. School Board MINUTES
March 8, 2021
A Regular Board Meeting of the Board of Education of Blue Earth Area, I.S.D. #2860 was held on Monday, March 8th, 2021 6:00 p.m. Conducted in person by telephone OR other Electronic means PURSUANT TO MINN. STAT. $ 13D.021 As a result of the peacetime emergency declared by the Governor of the State of Minnesota in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Superintendent of the School District has determined that it is feasible to hold in person meetings with proper social distancing, or meetings could be conducted by alternative means (teleconference or video-teleconference) from remote locations. Members of the public interested in monitoring the work session from a remote location made use of the following link: https://www.facebook.com?ISD2860.
Board Members were all present in person with Superintendent M. Fletcher for the regular board meeting at the meeting location: Blue Earth Area High School Media Center, 1125 Highway 169 N., Blue Earth, MN 56013.
Members present: S. Hauskins, S. Beyer, K. Zierke, J. Eckles, S. Rosenau, T. Armon, L. Mensing.
Call to Order: Chairperson Rosenau called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was taken.
Approve Agenda: On an Armon/Zierke Motion. Approved 7-0 roll call vote.
Public Input: A letter was read to the Board followed a short discussion.
Approved Minutes: On an Armon/Rosenau Motion. Approved 7-0 roll call vote.
Approved Payment of Bills and Wire Transfers: On a Zierke/Mensing Motion. Approved 7-0 roll call vote.
District Reports:
Peter Koenig – Music Department: March is Music in our school month. Mr. Koenig shared what the music programs have been doing in light of COVID.
Holly Christian – Business Professionals of America (BPA): An update was given and H. Christian shared how competitions are being done differently due to COVID. Students spoke about their upcoming competition and their participation this year.
Emily Davis – BEA Workforce Coordinator: – Vista Coordinator Hanna Haggarty was introduced. Presentations on Career Exploration for 9th and 10th Grade and next year’s goals shared.
(Board member T. Armon left the meeting at 6:46 pm due to a prior commitment.)
Chairperson’s Report: none.
Superintendent’s Report:
Legislative Update – Governor having State of the State address soon. Schools were surveyed regarding the pandemic – 65% said they will be making budget reductions due to Covid, Blue Earth Area Schools fortunately is not in that position.
Spring Testing – MN is on track to offer Spring standardized testing.
Strategic Planning – Will be working with Teamworks. Possible Board Work session in April for more discussion.
MSHSL Fees – Fees have been reduced slightly due to COVID. Will pay reduced fee.
Update on Instruction and Curriculum Director was given. Interviews are completed, candidate has been selected. Working on contract details. Look for board approval at April’s board meeting.
Covid Update – 0 active cases. K-11 all in person at this time.
Principal Reports:
C. Shaffer – Assisting with Interviews for 2021-2022. Parent/ Teacher conferences went well; 50/50 in person vs virtual. – Preparing for MCA testing.
D. Dressler – Update on MESPA was shared. Teacher Data Meetings going well. Kindergarten Roundup open house will look different this year.
Action Items:
Approve the 2020-2021 Revised Budget: On a Beyer/Zierke Motion. Approved 6-0 roll call vote.
Approve the 2021-2022 Calendar: On a Hauskins/Beyer Motion. Approved 6-0 roll call vote.
Personnel:
Approve New Hires: John Wirkus, Custodian; Morgan Franklin, Elementary Art Teacher (2021-2022). On a Zierke/Beyer Motion. Approved 6-0 roll call vote.
Approve Leave: Andrew Moen, Extension to 03/26/21. On a Beyer/Mensing Motion. Approved 6-0 roll call vote.
Approve Retirements: Andrew Moen, Elementary Teacher (06/08/21); Cindy Libby, Paraprofessional (06/04/21). On a Rosenau/Zierke Motion. Approved 6-0 roll call vote.
Routine Items:
Correspondence: None.
Other: Update given on recent MSBA training – Clerk and Negotiations training received positive feedback.
The meeting was adjourned on a Zierke/Beyer motion at 7:46 pm. Approved on a 6-0 roll call vote.
