NOTICE OF ROAD
ALTERATION HEARING
VERONA TOWNSHIP
FARIBAULT COUNTY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the town board of Verona Township, Faribault County, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing on the 14th day of June 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the East end of the new road described below to examine the road for the purposes of considering and acting upon its powers established in Minn. Stat. § 164.06, subd. 1 allowing a town board to initiate the town road establishment, vacation, or alteration procedure in Minn. Stat. § 164.07 without having to obtain the petition described in Minn. Stat. § 164.07, subd. 1 does hereby move to alter the following described road:
A 66 foot wide Township Road Easement over that part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23 and the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, Township 103 North, Range 28 West, Faribault County, Minnesota. The centerline of said easement is described as follows:
Commencing at the East Quarter corner of said Section 23; thence on an assumed bearing of North 89 degrees 26 minutes 13 seconds West, along the east-west quarter line of said section, a distance of 1317.46 feet to the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said section, said Southwest corner being the point of beginning of the centerline to be described; thence North 44 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 380.00 feet to an iron monument; thence North 49 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 250.00 feet to an iron monument; thence North 66 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 340.00 feet to an iron monument; thence North 76 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 330.00 feet to an iron monument; thence North 89 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 234.10 feet to an iron monument located on the east line of said section; thence South 81 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 240.00 feet to an iron monument; thence South 64 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 130.00 feet to an iron monument; thence South 35 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 95.00 feet to an iron monument; thence South 27 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 225.00 feet to an iron monument; thence South 38 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 80.00 feet to an iron monument; thence South 59 degrees 00 minutes East a distance of 75.00 feet to an iron monument; thence South 61 degrees 36 minutes East a distance of 437 feet, more or less, to the south line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 24 and said centerline there terminating. 3. Approved agenda of May 4, 2021.
4. Approved submitting Faribault County’s Le Sueur One Watershed, One Plan (1W1P) priority issues and plan expectations.
5. Directed County EDA Director and County Auditor/Treasurer/Coordinator to apply for Broadband Development Community Development Block Grant.
6. Set hearing date for Broadband Development Community Development Block Grant application for 6:30 pm Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Board Room in the Faribault County Courthouse, 415 North Main Street, Blue Earth, MN and via Zoom video conference.
7. During Drainage public comment, Mr. Gray appeared.
8. Approved adding rumble stripes on the fog lines on CSAH 16 project.
9. Approved appointment of Julie J. Stenzel effective April 20, 2021 on the Library Board, to complete the term of Susan Dundas ending December 31, 2021.
10. Approved increase of $2800 to the EDA Administration budget and a decrease of $2800 to the EDA Legal Fees budget to cover document scanning costs.
11. Approved sale and refurbishment of Parcel No. 22.241.0650 in the City of Bricelyn to correct blight.
12. Approved Resolution 21-CB-42 classifying and setting basic sales price of tax forfeited land. All voted yes.
13. Approved request from B. Rauenhorst to attend a 5-day General Appraiser Income Approach course online.
14. Approved payment of bills totaling $376,467.89.
