NOTICE AND ORDER FOR HEARING ON PETITION FOR DESCENT OF PROPERTY

A Petition for Determination of Descent has been filed with this Court. The Petition represents that the Decedent died more than three years ago, leaving property in Minnesota and requests the probate of Decedent’s

last Will (if any), and the descent of such property be determined and assigned by this Court to the persons entitled to the property.

Any objections to the Petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper, and no objections are filed or raised, the Petition may be granted.

IT IS ORDERED and Notice is further given, that the Petition will be heard on September 7, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., by this Court at 415 N. Main St., Blue Earth, Minnesota. This hearing will be held by Zoom.

1. Notice shall be given to all interested persons (MINN. STAT. § 524.1-401) and persons who have filed a demand for notice pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-204.

2. Notice shall be given by publishing this Notice and Order as provided by law and by: Mailing a copy of this Notice and Order at least 14 days prior to the hearing date.

WINNEBAGO

PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that The City of Winnebago will hold a Public Hearing on September 8th, 7:00 p.m., at the Municipal Center.

This will be an informational meeting to discuss the purchase of a new police vehicle, including economic and environmental impacts, service area, alternatives to the project, and potential funding sources, including USDA Rural Development. All residents and property owners within the City of Winnebago are encouraged to attend.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The City of Winnebago is receiving bids for the demolition of the former SuperValu site. The bid should consider the possibility of hazardous waste and should include removal and disposal of all demolition waste material, and placement of any fill required. All demolition activity must be completed by October 31, 2022. Submit sealed bids to the Winnebago City Administrator, 140 Main St S, PO Box 35, Winnebago, MN 56098 no later than 4:00 p.m. on September 8th, 2021. The address for the building is 34 Main St. South. The City of Winnebago reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The City Council of the City of Winnebago will hold a public hearing for the purpose of discussing a proposed Ordinance regarding solar energy systems and related zoning standards. Addition of language regarding RVs and amending building and zoning regulations will also be discussed. Complete drafts of the proposed Ordinances are available for review at City Hall at 140 S. Main Street in Winnebago during normal business hours.

A public hearing will be held on the 8th day of September 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Winnebago City Hall, 140 S. Main Street, Winnebago, Minnesota. Your public input on the matter is welcome.

JULY 12, 2021

A Regular Board Meeting of the Board of Education of Blue Earth Area, I.S.D. #2860 was held on Monday July 12th, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Members of the public interested in monitoring the work session from a remote location made use of the following link: https://www.facebook.com? ISD2860. 

Board Members were present in person with Superintendent M. Fletcher for the regular board meeting at the meeting location: Blue Earth Area High School Media Center 1125 Highway 169 N Blue Earth, MN 56013.

A. Fall Planning – CDC has new guidance on mask wearing for fall. Nurse Crofton is participating in state-wide nurse calls and will keep the district updated.

B. Legislative Update – The education Bill was passed at the end of the legislative term.

C. Negotiations Update – Meeting was held July 1st.

D. Superintendent Evaluation, Board Goals – Discussion was held about proceeding with Superintendent Fletcher’s year-end review and the Board goals at a future work session with the date TBD.

IX. Committee Reports: Eckles gave update on the Policy Committee, Hauskins reported a Negotiations Committee meeting was held.

AUGUST 3, 2021

1. All members were present. The pledge of allegiance was recited.

2. Approved synopsis and official proceedings of the July 20, 2021 regular and drainage authority meetings, and July 13, 2021 CD24 hearing.

3. Approved agenda of August 3, 2021.

4. Closed session was held regarding attorney-client privilege, Prairieland litigation.

5. Approved hiring of Sarah Van Moer as Central Services Assistant in Central Services; and Brent Peterson as Assistant County Attorney in the County Attorney’s office.

6. Accepted fuel/gasoline bid in the amount of $224,250.00 from Freeborn County Coop. One other bid for $228,026.25 was received from Crystal Valley Coop.

7. Approved Resolution CP 20-600-20, Crack Seal Project. All voted yes.

8. Approved temporary intoxicating liquor license to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4486 for a social event at the City of Blue Earth Municipal Airport on September 12, 2021.

9. Set American Rescue Plan (ARP) work session at 9:00 am on August 31, 2021.

10. Approved changing the time of the regular drainage authority meetings to the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 1pm.

11. Approved request from A.Wachlin to attend a 2-day MDRA State Meeting in St. Cloud.

12. Approved payment of bills totaling $ 425,774.70
