HEARING NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Faribault County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the drainage authority for County Ditch #87, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 103E.812, shall hold a public hearing on the petition to transfer a portion of the drainage system to the City of Wells located in Sections 8 and 9, Township 103, Range 24, Clark Township, Faribault County, Minnesota. The hearing shall be held at 4:00 p.m. on March 28th, 2022, at the Wells Community Center, 189 2nd Street Southeast, Wells, MN 56097. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the hearing can be attended virtually via phone or computer. Contact the Faribault County Drainage Department at 507-526-2388 for more information on virtual attendance. The petitioners and all other interested parties may appear and provide comment. Written comments will be accepted at the hearing and by mail through the date of the hearing at the Faribault County Auditor’s Office, PO Box 130, Blue Earth, MN 56013.

G. Impacts of High Quality Early Ed programs/Begindergarten Program, a program designed to be a bridge between Preschool and Kindergarten. Overview was given of new program by Supt. Fletcher and Principal Dressler.
X. Committee Reports:
Policy Committee – S Beyer provided an update on the February 1, 2022 meeting where policies were updated.
Facilities/Finance Committee – K. Zierke gave an update on recent meeting held on February 9th, 2022 where ESSER funding and staffing for 2022-2023 was discussed.
Q Comp Committee – T. Armon provided an update from the Q Comp meeting.
Community Ed Committee – S. Rosenau provided an update on the Community Ed meeting held.
DLT Committee – S. Rosenau also provided a brief update on the DLT meeting where the focus was on the Strategic Plan and culture.
Principal Reports: Dressler – NWEA winter testing is wrapping up. Findings to be available in early March. Provided an update on the Elementary School Principal’s conference that he attended. MSU Children’s Theater group came last week and performed for the K5 students.
Shaffer – 9th grade Respect Retreat was held on February 14th. Attended the MASSP conference. Principal Shaffer also discussed schedule efficiency in future years at the High School.
XI. Curriculum/Instruction Director Update: Schmitt updated the Board members on the K-5 Math curriculum review and shared her recommendations from the 2 programs selected – Math Expressions and Envision. 6-12 Math Curriculum review process is still meeting with vendor presentations. MN Student Survey is coming up and Schmitt explained how that process works. MN Anchor standards were discussed.
