A. Legislative Update – House and Senate Omnibus was discussed. Supt. Fletcher attended a Day at the Capital with other area superintendents to advocate for the Special Education Cross Subsidy.
B. Spring Banquets/Program – Events have changed to a program only – no meal will be served. Kiwanis/First Bank Blue Earth Academic Program to be Friday, May 13th at 7 pm – Lions Blue Earth Athletic Program Friday, May 20th at 7 pm. XI. Committee Reports: Rosenau gave an update on the DLT committee meeting held Wednesday, April 6th and a recent Q Comp meeting.
XII. Principal Reports: Mr. Dressler: Kindergarten concert held on April 11th and 1st Grade Concert on April 21st. On March 24th Mr. Dressler and Mr. Shaffer participated in virtual student teacher interviews with Minnesota State Mankato. Attending job fair in Mpls with Shaffer on April 12th. Kindergarten Roundup held on April 1st – 81 students came. Various basketball fun activities were held the week of March 28th. A brief discussion was held about the new Begindergarten program.
Mr. Shaffer -Teacher work day on March 28th. Pre ACT test held on March 16th. ACT is taking place on May 3rd. Early Release ends April 27th. Prom is April 30th with the Grand March at 730 p.m. at the High School. Kudos to Cabin Coffee for recent staff recognition gifts.
XIII. Curriculum/Instruction Director Report: Mrs. Schmitt gave an update on 6-12 Secondary Math curriculum. June 7th will be the staff training day for the new Math curriculum. K-12 Special Education Math and Reading curriculum were also discussed. Statewide testing update was given.
