Sealed Prime General Contract bids for Blue Earth Area Schools High School Roof Renovation will be received by the Owner at the District Offices’ Conference Room at 315 East 6th Street, Blue Earth Minnesota, 56013 by mail or personal delivery until Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at which date and time, all bids will be opened and read aloud.
A pre bid conference and walk-through, will be held Monday, December 19, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Blue Earth High School. 1125 North Grove. Interested bidders should meet at door “L”.
Project Scope: Selective demolition and construction of roof
renovations and other work indicated in the specifications.
Bidders shall submit their proposal on the forms provided. Proposal shall be filled in clearly and correctly with ink or other permanent format. Proposal shall be signed by the individual, members of the partnership, or by one or more officers of the corporation making the proposal.

1. All members were present. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
2. Approved synopsis and official proceedings of the November 1, 2022 regular and drainage authority meetings.
3. Approved the engineer to begin advertising for 2023 Bridges, Striping, Seal Coat, Pipe Lining, Concrete Repair, and Crack Seal projects.
4. Approved the engineer to attend the 2023 National Association of County Engineers conference in Orange Beach, AL.
5. Approved the hire of Ben Bromeland as Shop Lead Worker in Public Works.
6. Appointed Pam Krill as voting alternate to the MCIT Board.
7. Approved pay application #3 of $90,669.05 to Kraus-Anderson Construction Company.
8. Approved training requests from B. Hanevik to attend an online New Supervisor & Manager Skills Workshop; J. Luhmann to attend a Grading & Base Aggregate Production course in Mankato; and J. Oswald to attend two MnDOT Geometric Design Institute trainings in Shoreview. Commissioner Groskreutz voted no.
9. Approved payment of the following bills: Auditor warrants totaling $2,637,204.03, ACH-EFT payments totaling $2,085,506.16, and audit/auxiliary totaling $198,834.25.

1. C. Davis met regarding proposed agreements between the Faribault County Attorney’s Office and the City of Bricelyn for prosecution services and victim services.

B. Student Board Member Rep Update – L Becker has been attending the Student Council meetings in all buildings with Superintendent Fletcher.
C. MSBA Leadership Conference – January 12-13, 2023 being held in Minneapolis.
D. Mental Health Services with an Outside Agency – Discussion was held about providing a confidential meeting space for current students seeking Mental Health Services from a local agency to have their appointments at school to minimize absences from school and to help with transportation issues that may prevent them from getting to their appointments.

A. DLT – J Eckles provided an update from the DLT meeting on Nov 2, 2022
B. QComp Oversight – T Armon gave an update on the recent QComp meeting.
VIII. Principal’s Report: Superintendent Fletcher provided an update for both principals who were not able to attend the meeting. Both principals attended an Educator Conference job fair and have more lined up to attend in future months. Veteran’s Day programs in both buildings were a success and congratulations to the BEA Football team on making it to State. Elementary conferences will be held soon. K-5 conferences will be held in the classroom with the teacher. Middle School conferences will be open house format held in Pemberton. NWEA testing is coming up.
V. Director of Curriculum/Instruction Report: Superintendent Fletcher provided an update on the continued implementation of the new K-5 Math curriculum. State testing season is approaching.
