NOTICE OF DECISION

The Faribault County Planning Commission conducted Public Hearings on February 14th, 2023, March 13th, 2023, and April 11th, 2023. Faribault County Staff was present at the Conference Room of the Blue Earth Ag. Center, 415 South Grove Street, Blue Earth, MN. Board members and the public joined the meetings in-person. The following item was on the agenda:

AMENDMENTS TO THE FARIBAULT COUNTY ORDINANCE Feedlot Ordinance limited to ‘D. Section Four – General Guidelines (1) Animal Units, Area Requirements, and Setback Regulations; and Section 4 Rules and Definitions (B) Definitions; (3) Animal Unit.

Planning Commission Board held discussion and heard public comment on potential amendments:

A Recommendation for approval of the Amendments was forwarded to the County Commissioners.

The Faribault County Board of Commissioners held a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, at 9:30 AM in the Board of Commissioners Room, Middle Level, Faribault County Courthouse, 415 N. Main Street, Blue Earth, Minnesota. The County Board held a discussion and heard public comments on potential amendments.

The Amendments were Approved by the County Board of Commissioners on May 2nd, 2023.

Anyone wishing to appeal decisions that have been made will need to seek independent counsel promptly as there is a limited amount of time to appeal.
