NOTICE AND ORDER FOR HEARING ON PETITION FOR DESCENT OF PROPERTY
A Petition for Determination of Descent has been filed with this Court. The Petition represents that the Decedent died more than three years ago, leaving property in Minnesota and requests the probate of Decedent’s
last Will (if any), and the descent of such property be determined and assigned by this Court to the persons entitled to the property.
Any objections to the Petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper, and no objections are filed or raised, the Petition may be granted.
IT IS ORDERED and Notice is further given, that the Petition will be heard on July 11, 2023, at 10:30 AM remotely, via Zoom, by this Court at 415 N Main St., Blue Earth, Minnesota.
1. Notice shall be given to all interested persons (MINN. STAT. § 524.1-401) and persons who have filed a demand for notice pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-204.
2. Notice shall be given by publishing this Notice and Order as provided by law and by: Mailing a copy of this Notice and Order at least 14 days prior to the hearing date.

Faribault County will receive sealed proposals to have a Compensation Worth Study performed for Faribault County. Proposals will be accepted at the office of the County Auditor-Treasurer until 10:00 AM, June 30th, 2023. Interested Companies should contact Pamela J. Krill, Central Services Director at 507-526-6230 or by email at pam.krill@co.faribault.mn.us for a copy of the Request for Proposal. All bids received shall be opened and read aloud in the Commissioners’ Board Room in the County Court House in Blue Earth, MN at 10:00 AM, July 11th, 2023. The County reserves the right to reject any bids received if deemed to be in the best interest of the County.

MAY 16, 2023
1. All members present. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
2. Approved synopsis and official proceedings of the May 2, 2023 regular and drainage meetings.
3. Approved agenda of May 16, 2023.
4. Approved the hire of Dallas Olson as a full-time Dispatch/Jailer as of May 28, 2023.
5. Approved Resolution 23-PZ05-33 approving the Conditional Use Permit for D&J Seeds LLC-Jason Garvick. All voted yes.
6. Approved the low bid of $30,302.27 from Rice Companies for a new roof on the shop in Bricelyn.
7. Approved Resolution 23-RB04-32 approving a grant agreement for Local Bridge Replacement Program funds. All voted yes.
8. Approved the low bid of $5,000.00 from Imperial Seal for the crack sealing project at the Law Enforcement Center.
9. Directed staff to prepare a resolution for presentation at an upcoming board meeting.
10. Closed the meeting for attorney client-privileged discussion due to pending litigation on CD10.
11. Reopened the meeting.
12. Approved courthouse HVAC drywall change order #21 at a cost of $27,007.00.
13. Approved pay application #9 for $54,702.47 to Kraus-Anderson Construction Company.
14. Approved an increase of $1,438.00 to the 2023 budget for the Tax-Accounting Clerk classification change.
15. Approved Jessica Blair as a signer for the county’s accounts as listed.
16. Approved Resolution 23-CB-34 granting a gambling permit to the American Legion Post 89 to operate at Riverside Town & Country Club in Verona Twp. All voted yes.
17. Approved training request from L. Frommie to attend a School Safety Summit in Rochester.
18. Approved payment of the following bills: Auditor warrants totaling $1,969,651.10, ACH-EFT payments totaling $2,257,635.13; and audit/auxiliary totaling $349,149.65.
19. Moved the June 20, 2023 regular meeting back to 9:00am.
20. Accepted the resignation of Darren Esser as Auditor/Treasurer/Coordinator.
21. Directed staff to start the process of moving the Auditor/Treasurer/Coordinator position to an appointed rather than elected position.
Discussion was held concerning the following:
1. C. Carlson spoke about CD24 during public comment.
2. P. Krill met regarding Central Services business.
3. S. Hauskins & J. Garvick met to discuss a Conditional Use Permit.

6. M. Daly met regarding Public Works.
7. S. Warmka met regarding Buildings & Grounds.
8. J. Howard, M. Kennedy, C. LaPointe, & J. Hynes met regarding the proposed New Housing Construction Tax Abatement Program.
