(Formerly of Blue Earth) – Lillian Hartwick, 97, formerly of Blue Earth, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, while residing at the Beacon Home in Mapleton.

Lillian Loraine Hamelau was born to Henry and Anna Hamelau in Verona Township on Feb. 8, 1927, the youngest of six children. She married George B. Hartwick of Blue Earth on June 1, 1946 in Ware County, Georgia, while George was serving in the Navy. Together they raised their five children in Blue Earth. George passed away in 2000.

Lillian was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth and worked for many years at Telex before retiring.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husband, George; and two daughters, Suzanne Hart, and Judit (Judy) Katrin Hart.

She is survived by son, David (Barbara) Hartwick, of Vergas; daughter, Barbara (Jim) Martin, of Winnebago; and son, George C. (Carolyn) Hartwick, of Dayton, Texas; along with seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
