REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) – DEMOLITION
Notice is hereby given that proposals will be received by the City of Blue Earth for demolition of the property located in Blue Earth, Minnesota at the parcels identified as 212009690, 212009700, 212009710 (126, 128, and 130 S Main Street, Blue Earth, MN 56013).
Proposals received later than 12:00 pm on Friday, July 12, 2024 will not be considered. A copy of this Request for Proposal (RFP) may be obtained from the City’s website at www.becity.org. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and waive irregularities and informalities in the submittal and evaluation process. This RFP does not obligate the City to pay any costs incurred by respondents in the preparation and submission of a proposal. Furthermore, the RFP does not obligate the City to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services. The City of Blue Earth assures that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity. The City of Blue Earth further assures that every effort will be made to ensure non-discrimination in all of its programs and activities, whether those programs are federally funded or not. In addition to nondiscrimination compliance requirements, the contractor(s) ultimately awarded a contract shall comply with federal, state, and local laws, statutes and ordinances relative to the execution of the work. This requirement includes, but is not limited to, protection of public and employee safety and health; environmental protection; waste reduction and recycling; the protection of natural resources; permits; fees; taxes; and similar subjects.

Local Housing Trust Fund Public Hearing Notice
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Faribault County Board of Commissioners at its regular meeting to be held the 16th day of July 2024, at 9:00 am, in the County Board Room of the Faribault County Courthouse, will consider adopting Ordinance to Establish a Local Housing Trust in order to provide housing assistance within Faribault County, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 462C.16. Copies of the proposed Ordinance may be obtained from Faribault County by request at (507) 525-6275, from the address listed below or from the link posted below. All persons interested are invited to attend the meeting and be heard on this matter.

Participating virtually were Faribault County staff A. Shoff, E. Beske, E. Steele, M. Sonnek, and T. Hanevik. Commissioner Loveall was absent.
2. Approved Resolution 24-CB-38 to declare Faribault County in a State of Emergency for conditions resulting from the heavy rain and damaging wind events of June 16th, 2024. All voted yes.

Redetermination of Benefits Hearing; in accordance with MN §103E.351
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Joint Blue Earth, Faribault, and Martin County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the Drainage Authority for Judicial Ditch 24, will hold a hearing on the proposed draft Viewers’ Report for the Redetermination of Benefits and Damages for Judicial Ditch 24. The drafted Viewers’ Report was filed with the Drainage Authority on June 26, 2024. The hearing shall be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the Board of Commissioners’ Room, located on the second floor of the Blue Earth County Historic Courthouse, 204 South 5th Street, Mankato, Minnesota, 56001. At the Final Hearing, the Drainage Authority will accept public comment regarding the drafted Viewers’ Report for Judicial Ditch 24. The Blue Earth County Judicial Ditch 24 (JD 24) watershed is located in Blue Earth, Faribault, and Martin Counties, primarily located in Shelby Township, of Blue Earth County, and is approximately 5,433.22 acres benefited. The watershed includes land from Sections 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33 of Shelby Township, Blue Earth County; Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of Winnebago City Township, Faribault County; and Sections 1 and 12 of Nashville Township, Martin County. Judicial Ditch 24 is a combination of subsurface tile and open ditch which primarily drains from south to north, where its outlets into Blue Earth County Ditch 89, which empties in Willow Creek.
