COUNTY ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given that The Faribault County Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, at 9:30 AM in the Commissioners Room of the Faribault County Courthouse, Blue Earth, Minnesota. The Board of Commissioners will hold discussion and hear public comment on the Faribault County Cannabis Ordinance:
Minnesota cannabis legalization law allows counties to adopt reasonable restrictions, on the time, place, and manner or operation of a cannabis business or hemp business, through a County Ordinance. It is the purpose of the ordinance to promote the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the citizens of Faribault County. A proposed copy of the ordinance is available on the Faribault County Auditor’s and Planning and Zoning offices or online at https://www.co.faribault.mn.us/planning-zoning.
This constitutes as notice of intention to enact The Faribault County Cannabis Ordinance. 1. All members present. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
2. Approved synopsis and official proceedings of the October 15, 2024 regular and drainage meetings.
3. Approved agenda of November 5, 2024.
4. Approved Resolution24-CB-58 to reappoint Assessor Rauenhorst to a four-year term effective January 1st, 2025, through December 31, 2028. All voted yes.
5. Approved the 2025-2027 Memorandum of Agreement between Faribault County and University of Minnesota Extension at the funding level proposed by the Faribault County Extension Committee.
6. Approved a $214,159.98 Order Form ($35,693.33/year) with EagleView and Minnesota Counties Computer Cooperative (MnCCC) for two projects over six years utilizing $154,159,98 from Recorder Compliance, $30,000 from Public Works, and $30,000 from the Split & Combine and General Funds.
7. Approved a prorated three-year contract ending December 31, 2026 with CPT for property tax system software with an approximate integration cost of $57,500.
8. Approved the training request from S. Jahnke to attend an Emergency Management meeting in Rochester.
9. Approved payment of bills totaling $ 332,712.23.
10. Closed the meeting for discussion regarding labor negotiation strategies.
11. Reopened the meeting.
12. Approved contracting with the county’s labor attorney, Susan Hansen, for labor negotiations services.
13. Approved proposed health plan option #3 with the full HSA contribution of $4,300 for 2025 health insurance contributions.
