Buc tennis team blasts Fairmont 6-1

The Blue Earth Area boys tennis team flexed a little muscle last Tuesday night. They won big over Fairmont with a 6-1 score.

The team won three of four singles matches, and all of the doubles matches.

The Bucs first doubles tandem of Logan Becker and Dalton Moore lost their first set 6-3, but then rallied and won the next two 6-2, 6-3.

Second doubles Drake Nimz and Garrett Passer won 6-1, 7-5. Third doubles Hans Kittleson and Fredi Kneer won 6-4, 6-2.

First singles Matt Purvis lost a close first set 6-6 (7-3) and the second set 6-1.

Second singles Riley Holmseth lost his first set 7-6 (7-5) but then came back and won the next two by identical scores of 6-1.

Third singles Aaron Wilhelmi won 6-2, 0-6, 7-6 (7-5). Wade Wilhelmi won the fourth singles with a 6-0, 6-3 sweep.

Next up for the Bucs is a match at St. Peter on Monday and then they will host Worthington on Thursday.
