Bucs blast Saints 12-2

The Buccaneer baseball team got back on the right track in St. James. The Bucs’ bats came alive and they downed the Saints 12-2 on May 1st.

Forrest Passer pitched all seven innings and held St. James to just three hits and struck out six, while walking four.

The Bucs meanwhile got nine hits from seven different players, resulting in the 12 runs.

Garrett Mensing went 2 for 3 and Garrett Anderson went 2 for 4 batting. Jake Lee and Gabe Sturtz both blasted homeruns in the game; Lee in the first inning and Sturtz in the second.

The Bucs were up 5-0 going into the fifth inning when the Saints made it close with their two runs.

Then in the seventh inning the Bucs cut loose for seven runs on three hits and put the game out of reach.
