Garret Anderson had his arm warmed up despite the very cold and cloudy weather.

The Buc hurler struck out 14 batters last Tuesday night as BEA defeated St. Peter 4-0 on the Bucs home field.

Anderson walked four batters and allowed just three hits, scattered throughout the game. He pitched all seven innings and got the win.

The Bucs got their four runs on seven hits. Anderson and John Franta both went 2 for 3 to lead the Buccaneers. One of Franta’s hits was a triple.

Mat Willner went 1 for 2, but his hit was an RBI double. Blake Anderson and Garrett Mensing got BEA’s other two hits.

The Bucs got a run in both the first and second innings, and then Anderson and the defense shut down the Saints batters the rest of the way. The Bucs got two more runs in the fourth inning.

The team was scheduled to host Fairmont here last Friday night for the final regular season game. They will start baseball sections on Saturday in St. Peter.
