Buc boys golf team takes top spot at subsection

The Blue Earth Area boys golf team took the top spot in the Subsection 2A West meet held last Tuesday in LeSueur.

The Bucs shot a 337, far below any of the other seven teams in the subsection. St. Peter was second with 351.

The team will move on to the section meet that will be held Tuesday in Dodge Center.

The team also had three individuals place in the top ten to advance.

Jon Trasamar had medalist honors as he shot a 76 (40-36) on the par 72 course. Buc teammate Andy Aukes was just one stroke behind that pace, shooting a 77 (39-38) to help lead BEA.

Thane Nowak also qualified as an individual by shooting a 90 (46-44). Tom More shot a 94 (50-44) for the Bucs other score.

Other BEA players scores were Derek Abel with a 100 (50-50) and Nate Glimsdal with 109 (56-53).

Other team scores included NRHEG with 360 for third, LSH with 373, ME with 378, USC with 387, MR with 394 and SE with 400.
